StainSoft ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. We designed the MyDataMind application based on a fundamental principle: your data belongs to you and remains on your device. We do not own centralized storage servers and we do not track your activities.
Our approach at a glance
- We do not collect or store your passwords on our servers.
- We do not intercept the traffic between you and your servers (SSH, FTP, Database).
- We do not sell any data to third parties (we do not possess any).
1. Local Data Collection and Storage
MyDataMind is a Local-First application. All the information you enter into the app, including Vault credentials, SSH profiles, MariaDB connections, FTP accounts, and API Keys, are saved exclusively in your device's local memory (using secure SQLite databases).
Furthermore, sensitive data saved within the Offline Vault and API keys are locally encrypted with AES-256 standards before being written to your device's disk. We at StainSoft have absolutely no technical ability to access, read, or decrypt this information.
2. Direct Connections (No Intermediaries)
When you use MyDataMind to manage your servers, the application establishes a direct network connection between your device and the destination servers.
- SSH, FTP, and Database Modules: The connection protocols communicate directly with your servers. The traffic does not pass through any proxy, VPN, or server managed by StainSoft.
- AI Assistant (BYOK): The requests generated via the Artificial Intelligence module are sent directly to the providers you have configured (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or Ollama) using your personal API Keys. We do not process, store, or have visibility into your prompts or the files you send to the AI. We invite you to consult the privacy policies of the respective AI providers to understand how they handle data sent to their APIs.
3. Use of Google Drive (Google API Services User Data Policy)
MyDataMind offers a "Disaster Recovery" feature that allows you to save an encrypted backup (.enc file) of your workspace on your personal Google Drive account. To do this, the app requires authentication via Google Sign-In.
- Access to Google Drive is strictly limited (
drive.filescope) to the creation and reading solely and exclusively of backup files created by MyDataMind itself. - The application does not have the permission, nor the technical ability, to read, modify, or delete other files or photos present in your Google Drive.
- Backup files sent to Google Drive are preemptively encrypted locally (AES-256). Google only acts as a storage space for a file that is incomprehensible without your master password.
4. Application Permissions Required
To function correctly, MyDataMind requires access to certain device permissions:
- Network / Internet: Necessary exclusively to allow you to connect to your servers (SSH, DB, FTP) and AI providers.
- Storage / Files (Read & Write): Necessary to save the local SQLite database, export logs in text format, import/export PEM/PPK certificates, and documents for the Documents & Drive module.
5. Diagnostic Data and Telemetry
MyDataMind does not include proprietary telemetry tools or third-party analytical tracking SDKs aimed at profiling user behavior within the app. The only metrics or error logs collected (crash reporting) are those provided anonymously by official stores (such as Google Play Console) exclusively to ensure software stability.
6. User Rights and Data Deletion
Since we do not possess any of your data on our servers, you have total and absolute control over your information. To permanently delete all your data:
- Uninstall the MyDataMind application from your device (this will delete the isolated local database).
- Manually delete any backup files (
.enc) from your Google Drive.
No request to our technical support is necessary for account deletion, as there is no "StainSoft Account".
7. Changes to this Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy to reflect any technical or legal changes. We will notify you of any changes by updating the date at the top of this document. We encourage you to periodically review this page.
